NOT ANOTHER FEEDBACK SURVEY ?

Yes it is, but if you have enjoyed visiting us recently and do have 10 minutes spare, please help us by completing our new ONLINE SURVEY kindly designed for us by Georgie Anderson. No doubt you’ve heard it all before, but this feedback does guide future management decisions, and may be a crucial factor in obtaining significant funding for us to help improve the facilities here at Creek.

FILMS

From just over 10 years ago, here’s a new 2:20 edit “Before it all Began” taken from Anne & Simon’s original Creek Creative site check (May 2007). It took until July 2009 for us to secure the lease and get the keys!

AWARDS

We were #KentCreativeAwards finalists in Two Categories this year (Cultural venue + Arts organisation / of the year), but sadly we didn’t win either.

In 2015 our Gallery Kitchen Cafe received a ‘Kent Life and Kent on Sunday Food & Drink Awards 2015‘ ‘Highly Commended’ for ‘Cafe of the Year’. In October 2016 at the ‘Kent Life and Kent on Sunday Food & Drink Awards 2016‘ (#kentfda), the GKC was a top three Finalist in both ‘Cafe of the Year’ and ‘Customer Service of the Year’ categories, and shortlisted again for ‘Customer Service of the Year’ in 2017.

On Tuesday 21st November 2017 we received the exciting news that Lorraine and her team have won a Gold Medal in the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards for 2017! Congratulations to the Cafe team once again for all their hard work this year!

THE LOWER GALLERY IS AVAILABLE TO HIRE… Call 01795 535515 (additional space in development)

If you are interested in exhibiting in the Lower Gallery currently the cost is £160 per week (+ 20% sales commission), with plenty of gaps in the calendar! Please note there are two rooms: the main room as shown in the photos, and the second, which currently still suffers water intrusion, but is uniquely atmospheric and includes an amazing 30m tunnel (ideal for unusual installations). The Lower Gallery is favoured by those exhibitors wishing for a dedicated space (with higher ceiling in the main room), more flexible layout, and peaceful atmosphere in contrast with the busy Upper Gallery.

VINTAGE ALBION PRESS INSTALLED

On 28th June linocut print master Hugh Ribbans demonstrated the newly installed vintage cast Albion printing press in our popular LGF Print Studio (delivered and fitted by Giles from AMR Letterpress).

Can you help us improve the facilities?

Please consider donating to Creek Creative CIC using our PayPal DONATE BUTTON on the ‘About’ page. We guarantee that any funds received will be spent carefully on improvements to our artists’ facilities and to subsidise various exhibitions or promotional activities to support them. We are happy to hear specific suggestions if you have interesting ideas on how your money might be best deployed as Creek Creative continues to evolve. We are now looking into becoming a charity, at which point donations include tax incentives, or more specifically a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), and the case for this development strengthens if you contact us to only pledge future support at this stage.

New Courses:

If you are interested in an art/design discipline but can’t find a course let us know – especially if you are a small group of friends thinking of learning together in an informal class – as we may be able to set up a new class just for you.
