For all forthcoming Upper & Lower Gallery exhibition bookings please see our online calendar.
PUBLIC HEALTH STATEMENT – Coronavirus UPDATE (COVID-19):
Creek is now operating on minimal services, with all exhibitions and workshops/classes postponed or cancelled, the artists’ studios will remain available as long as possible. Sadly the Gallery Kitchen Cafe will not now be offering a ‘Creek Takeout’ service, owing to Social Distancing, staffing and supplies issues during the crisis, but may be restored at short notice. Please bear with us as we attempt to sustain the facility while keeping up with guidance. If you booked a course please check with your workshop tutor before arriving on site, as they may be offering a virtual / online version. We wish to reassure all residents and visitors that we are taking appropriate hygiene precautions where possible to minimise the risks, but we need your cooperation, so if you are on site for any reason please follow these guidelines stay at least 2m from each other and #WashYourHands frequently. To maintain ‘Social Distancing’ within the building artist/residents are advised to not bring more than one family member or friend to their studio/workshop at any time.
LOWER GALLERY
The last exhibition in the Lower Gallery opened from Tuesday 17th to Sunday 22nd March for #1Week Only and was an MA Student #GroupShow installation of challenging sculptural & painted works from Melanie Jordan, Nicole Antras & Ali Lees. (Meet the Artists was 1-5pm Saturday 21st March).
Wheelchair users please note that we do have #WheelchairAccess on both levels, but for the Lower Gallery access is from the back (on Belvedere Road): Cafe or Shop staff will need to be alerted (via the main Abbey Street entrance) to go down and open the double Fire Doors for the rear ramp, then guide people through the corridor.
THE LOWER GALLERY IS AVAILABLE TO HIRE… Call 01795 535515 (additional space in development)

If you are interested in exhibiting in the Lower Gallery currently the cost is £160 per week (+ 20% sales commission), with plenty of gaps in the calendar! Please note there are two rooms: the main room as shown in the photos, and the second, which currently still suffers water intrusion, but is uniquely atmospheric and includes an amazing 30m tunnel (ideal for unusual installations). The Lower Gallery is favoured by those exhibitors wishing for a dedicated space (with higher ceiling in the main room), more flexible layout, and peaceful atmosphere in contrast with the busy Upper Gallery.
