Artists’ Studios

(Evening work sessions are available eg until 9pm, on evening class nights, and on request).
Currently 37 local artists share the 28 rented studios, which vary in size and character from raw workshops to tidy office studios, with a further nine co-working deskspaces on the 1st Floor. All workspaces are offered at affordable rates, subsidised in part by a range of facilities and additional activities provided by the company such as the Gallery Kitchen Café, Artisan Shop, exhibitions (in Upper/Lower Galleries or Performance Space), with various events and art/craft courses (often delivered by resident artists).
Creek provides a sense of community, opportunity, and purpose, as catalysts for professional development in the arts, where exchanged skills, ideas, resources, contacts and experience can support collaboration or independence, and provide promotion when needed. Potential advantages such as commission leads, economies of scale, or sales and social network support, can maximise creative productivity. At the core is a friendly workplace for talented, but often isolated or undiscovered practitioners, which has built up organically over several years to become a valuable asset of the town, by stimulating its occupants, local artists, the local economy, and visiting public alike.
